These speakers do an impressive job of capturing something of an older, fuller, more easy and open style of hi-fi sound without forgetting to make the music exciting.

The Creative Audio Review

Demo track: ‘Thunderstruck’ by AC/DC. When we first hooked up the Wharfedale Linton Heritage, they just looked like they wanted to play that song and play it they did! In our opinion, Wharfedale has struck the perfect balance in these speakers, which are a remaking of the original Linton from 1965. The sound character of that vintage design has been updated to delivery the accuracy and precision we’ve come to expect from modern speakers. This is thanks to the drive units, which feature Kevlar in the bass and midrange drivers. As you’d expect from a British design, these present a smooth sound that is detailed but never harsh or bright. They will pair well with most amplifiers, however hook them up to a top-notch source and amp your ears - and soul - will be rewarded. Our one-line review: we love them.

Sound Advice

  • These speakers will sound great right out of the box, but will sound even better after 50-100 hours of use.

  • We always recommend a quality speaker cable to connect your speakers.

  • For best sonic results, we recommend at least 12-18” of distance from the back of the speaker to the back wall.

  • The optional, matching stands will bring the speakers to the optimal height for a seated listener.
