REL makes subwoofers. That’s it. Rather than thinking they can do everything, they maintain their focus on this one very specific component of high-end home audio reproduction. REL loves sound and believes that proper low-frequency reproduction enhances the performance of your speakers and indeed your entire system. REL is not a me-too company; they eschew the traditional approach and marketing tactics typical of other subwoofer manufacturers. REL obsesses over details, and this is why they strongly advise high-level connections to their subwoofer and why the vast majority of their models use Class A/B amplifiers. The end result has to be heard to be believed.

At Creative Audio, we love the REL approach because it is similar to our own. We are passionate about music. We do things differently ourselves, focusing less on specifications and more on performance. We believe the secret sauce of a truly great audio system - at any price point - is system synergy. REL subs add bass without destroying the musical character of your system; in fact, they enhance it. In our view, practically any system can benefit from an REL subwoofer.

Classic

Classic

Listening to music is inherently nostalgic, bringing past performances back to life. Whether it’s Lady Gaga or the First Lady of Jazz, Ella Fitzgerald, playing music on your own hi-fi system lets you relive your favourite musical moments from any era. If you want the full colour of the original performance then a subwoofer is an essential component for any audio system.

REL’s Classic subwoofer models tug at those nostalgic heartstrings with their timeless design. Contrasting to their other high-gloss models, these subwoofers are wrapped in beautiful genuine walnut wood veneers. They also feature the proportions of REL’s early models from the 1990’s, being taller than contemporary designs. Inside, they combine a paper cone bass driver (for warmth) with modern Class D amplification (for speed and depth).

Your room needs a subwoofer, and a Classic sub from REL will add a wonderful touch of warmth - in sound and style - to those looking for it.
