Design

For many, the look of the Luxman L-100 Centennial will take them back to what many consider the heyday of amplifier design. The soft silver metal faceplate is home to its vintage design cues:

• Large backlit VU meters

• Rotary tone and adjustment controls

• Large rotary volume and input controls

The warm amber glow of the VU meter lights hints at the technology inside: this is Luxman code for a Class A amplifier. ‘Made in Japan’ still means something, and you’ll feel it when you touch this amplifier: the smooth motion of the rotary controls and the satisfyingly tactile buttons.
