Design

Bathed in a warm glow, large analog VU meters dominate the beautiful satin-finish front panel of the Luxman L-100 Centennial. The retro charm continues with the silver adjustment knobs including tone controls. As you would expect from a precision Japanese-made instrument, the fit and finish of the L-100 Centennial is superb. You will feel it in the movement of the volume control and the satisfying click of every button. The build quality extends to every facet of the chassis, from the top plate to the cast iron feet. All of this is in aid of improving performance by minimizing unwanted external vibrations from affecting the audio circuitry inside.

Technology

It may look vintage on the outside, but on the inside the L-100 Centennial is full of cutting-edge Luxman technology. Its pure Class A design puts musicality front and centre. Combined with the latest iteration of Luxman’s LIFES feedback system, you can be sure of an experience that will envelope you and hit all the feels. Every detail has been worked over to deliver the best performance, including the LECUA 1000 volume control, the massive power supply, and even the layout and shape of the traces on the circuit boards. This is attention to detail as only the Japanese can do. This is music, the Japanese way.

Creative Audio Pro Tips

  • The Luxman L-100 Centennial will sound great right out of the box, but will sound even better after 200 hours of use.

  • Always keep the top of the amplifier clear to allow for adequate ventilation. Do not place the unit in a closed cabinet.

  • We always recommend quality cables both from your source(s) as well as to your speakers.
