The Rega Neo MK2 is an advanced, dedicated outboard power supply compatible with certain Rega Planar turntable models. It uses the same DSP (digital signal processing) circuit in the PL10, the power supply for Rega’s flagship turntable the Planar 10. The Neo MK2 is built upon a high stability crystal. The DSP divides the accurate signal from the crystal to the exact frequency required to turn the turntable platter at the selected speed (33 1/3 or 45 RPM). While doing this, the DSP produces a near-perfect sinusoidal waveform to drive the 24V motor in the turntable with exacting precision. You can adjust the speed in fine increments with an adjustment control on the rear panel.
The current Rega Planar 6 and Planar 8 models ship with the Neo MK2 as standard.
The Rega Neo MK2 is compatible with the following Rega turntable models: P3-24 / RP3 / Planar 3 2016-current / RP6 / P5 / P7 / RP40 special edition / RP8 Or any older Rega turntable fitted with our aftermarket 24V upgrade kit.
