Eschewing digital inputs and Bluetooth for an all-analog design, what this Rega lacks in input versatility it more than makes up for in character and fun. We love the Rega Brio as it reminds us of the heyday of the affordable British amp. It has simplicity written all over it, physically and sonically. Listen to the Rega Brio and notice how it direct it sounds. The musicians are communicating directly with you. Being a Rega, of course, it has a taut bass and fantastic sense of timing. This is one of those amps that will put a smile on your face and get your toe tapping. It’s tough to criticize given the price. If anything we want more detail and a larger soundstage presentation. Fortunately we know it’s available in the larger Rega Elex-R model. For what it is, though, the Brio is well-nigh perfect.

Sound Advice
The Rega Brio will sound great right out of the box, but it will sound even better after the first 50-75 hours of use.
Be sure to give the amplifier some breathing room for proper ventilation.
We always recommend a quality speaker wire for your speakers.
