This has always been a perennial favourite in the Creative Audio showroom. The Neat Acoustics Motive SX1 always catches peoples eye thanks to its compact stature. There is always a bit of skepticism that a speaker so small could sound so good, but any such doubts are immediately put to rest as soon as we turn them on. The Motive SX1 is an incredibly fun speaker to listen to. If you unaware of this company, it was founded in 1989 by a gentleman named Bob Surgeoner. Bob was a musician first and foremost, and played music in a variety of styles including blues, rock, jazz, folk, country, and bluegrass. As he struggled to find a speaker he liked that could play music rather than ‘hi-fi’, he started his own company - Neat Acoustics. A trademark of every Neat Acoustics design is the ability to cut through to the rhythm of the music, getting your toe tapping and putting a smile on your face. Another important characteristic is their ability to sing no matter what genre you play through them. With these speakers you don’t hear the speaker, you hear the music. You’ll also be continually amazed at just how massive the soundstage is from such a compact cabinet. There’s no sense beating around the bush: we love these speakers! One important proviso, however: the Neat Acoustics Motive SX1 is an incredibly revealing design and requires quality amplification and sources to sound their best.

Sound Advice

The Neat Acoustics Motive SX1 will sound great right out of the box, but it will sound better after 75 - 100 hours of use.
For best results, we recommend a minimum of 12 - 18” of distance from the back wall to the back of the speaker.
We recommend high performance speaker cable to get the most out of your system.
