If you ever wanted a chance to buy a piece of hi-fi history, now has never been a better time to do it.
— What Hi-Fi? Review

There is no single road to hi-fi nirvana. Speaker design is a little bit science and a whole lot art; measurements can never tell the whole story. The Klipsch Heresy IV with its horn loaded compression drivers may fly in the face of conventional modern-day loudspeaker design theory, but listen to it and you cannot deny its merit as a truly engaging and musical speaker. Combined with its fun vintage looks, this is a loudspeaker that deserves to be on everyone’s shortlist.

Key Features

  • 3-way ported design with 12” bass driver, 1.75” midrange compression driver, 1” tweeter compression driver

  • cabinet available in multiple real-wood veneers with built-in plinth and magnetic grille

  • speaker terminals allow for bi-wire/bi-amp

The Creative Audio Review

Demo track: ‘Bass and Drum Intro’ from Nils Lofgren Band Live. This speaker was a delightful surprise in our showroom from the very first song. Like all past and present Klipsch Heritage speaker designs, what’s on offer with the Heresy IV is “you are there” feeling to your music. Feeling is the key word here: you won’t just hear the music, you’ll feel it, physically, in your chest. Its massive sound might catch you off-guard, because the Klipsch Heresy IV is a pretty compact speaker at just over 2 feet tall. Want to crank it up? Go ahead. These speakers play loud. Your neighbours might not be impressed…or maybe they will! These aren’t just about loudness though. With this latest version the Heresy delivers a more even performance with some rough edges taken off the top-end and a more coherent and punchy bass line. The Heresy IV is more sophisticated for sure, but don’t think that they forgot how to be fun…they get us grinning from ear to ear every time!

Sound Advice

  • These speakers will sound great right out of the box, but will sound even better after 50-100 hours of use.

  • We always recommend a quality speaker cable to connect your speakers.

  • For best sonic results, we recommend at least 12-18” of distance from the back of the speaker to the back wall.
