Just because your listening room is small doesn’t mean you must sacrifice sound quality! It is rare to find a speaker as small as the Neat Acoustics Motive SX2 that comes with serious hi-fi credentials. Neat Acoustics was founded in 1989 by Bob Surgeoner, a musician who was frustrated at the performance of traditional speakers. He founded his own company with a focus on designing speakers that played engaging music in real life, rather than looking good with impressive specs on paper. The Motive SX2 is our go-to recommendation for small spaces. It’s less than three feet tall and yet it doesn’t sound like it - not at all! The illusion is incredible…listen to these for fifteen minutes with your eyes closed and then open them and we promise you’ll be shocked at how small they really are. Like all speakers from Neat Acoustics, you’ll get the best results with quality amplification, but then that is always the case, no matter the speaker! Our only reservation would be that these aren’t a speaker that will play excessively loud; if you need more volume capability consider the larger Motive SX1.

Sound Advice

The Neat Acoustics Motive SX2 will sound great right out of the box, but it will sound better after 75 - 100 hours of use.
For best results, we recommend a minimum of 12” of distance from the back wall to the back of the speaker.
We recommend high performance speaker cable to get the most out of your system.
