“Like all good audio, the Naim Audio Solstice turntable is focused on making music sound entertaining as well as accurate.” - Alan Sircom, hi-fi+ Review

Legacy

Naim founder Julian Vereker often contemplated designing a Naim turntable. In 1989 the company released the now-iconic ARO tonearm. It’s legacy lives on in the new design for the Solstice, updated with cutting-edge materials like carbon fibre and tungsten to deliver a new level of vinyl performance.

Precision

The Equinox moving coil cartridge is manufactured with the precision of a swiss-made watch. It’s inner assembly, which features a microline stylus shape, sits inside a solid aluminium housing. In typical Naim fashion, a bespoke outboard power supply drives the self-calibrating motor that turns the platter that floats on a magnetic bearing, as well as the dedicated phono stage included in the system.

Exclusive

Limited to only 500 units worldwide, the Naim Solstice Special Edition includes the turntable itself, the updated Aro tonearm, Equinox MC cartridge, NVC TT phono stage, and NPX TT power supply. Also included in the package are a commemorative book and the Naim Records True Stereo album, a curated collection of superb recordings.

The Creative Audio Review

Demo Track: ‘Money for Nothing’ by Dire Straits. We play this track on our bog-standard original pressing of this timeless album and yet it sounds like a remaster. The Naim Solstice Special Edition makes every album sound like a remaster, in the best possible way. We believe the only reason a remaster should exist is to bring us to closer to the music, to remove the veils that kept us from it in the first place. This track is a fantastic demonstration of the capabilities of this, a statement among turntables. It’s dynamic, it’s dramatic, and it’s detailed. We’ve never heard it sound so good. We’ve never heard any of our records sound so good. It’s been a long time coming but it was worth the wait: finally, Naim brings their golden touch to vinyl playback in a gorgeously luxurious package.

Sound Advice

  • It is essential that the turntable be placed on a sturdy, level surface.

  • The Naim Solstice Special Edition will sound incredible on first use, but it will sound its best after at least 50 hours of use when the cartridge and other components have had a chance to break in.
