The Focal 300 ICW8, available to buy in Winnipeg at Creative Audio, is a larger in-ceiling/in-wall speaker perfect for larger rooms or when you just want a fuller sound at lower or higher volume levels. It uses an 8” flax midbass driver. Sandwiched between two layers of glass fibres, this eco-textile is lightweight, rigid, and well-damped, allowing the speaker to reproduce midrange and bass frequencies with accuracy and control.

High frequencies come courtesy of Focal’s famous 1” inverted dome tweeter built from aluminium and magnesium with Poron suspension. You can aim the tweeter for ideal dispersion and its output can be adjusted +/- 3 dB to tailor it to the acoustics of the room.

Even if you listen at lower levels, there is an advantage to a larger speaker such as the Focal 300 ICW8. It’s larger size means it delivers a richer bass and midbass, making it sound fuller even when the volume is low.
