It Started Over 33 Years Ago...
In 1978 to be precise. It was then that Creative Audio first opened the doors at its still-current location in Osborne Village in Winnipeg. In those early days, the company designed and built its own range of speakers - many of which are still in use today.
It was always about quality...
Quality of product - every brand was handpicked for its performance, value, and reliability. The company soon earned a reputation for quality electronics from brands such as Arcam, Denon, and NAD.
Quality of service - the Creative Audio store was about no-pressure with non-commissioned sales staff. The company also serviced every product it sold, both during and after the warranty period.
Quality of sound - big budget or beer budget - it didn't matter. The end result was always the same: music has never sounded as good as it did through a Creative Audio system.
Creative Audio expands...
In the early 1990's, the company doubled the size of its retail store to accommodate the addition of video products to its range. Soon, Creative Audio was offering complete surround sound systems. Technology was changing, but Creative Audio remained Winnipeg's destination for audio and video.
A Change in Ownership...
In 2007, the founder of Creative Audio retired and sold the company to long-serving staff members Jeff Kowerchuk and Jeff Friesen. With a unique understanding of the company's core values, the new partners were excited to deliver the Creative Audio tradition to a new generation.
